Seni Moda is a creative fashion design studio in Boolaroo (Newcastle, NSW), founded to inspire the next generation of designers through creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
We believe every great fashion designer begins with an idea, not a sewing machine. Through illustration, creative thinking, and design development, students learn how fashion collections are imagined, developed, and brought to life.
Why We Created Seni Moda.
After more than 20 years working across the fashion industry and building my own Australian fashion label, a.nty story, we realised that many young people dream of becoming fashion designers but rarely have the opportunity to learn the creative process behind the industry.
Seni Moda was created to bridge that gap.
Rather than focusing on garment construction alone, we teach students how designers think, through sketching, colour, storytelling, branding, and collection development helping them build confidence in their own creative voice.
At Seni Moda, we believe fashion is more than creating beautiful clothing—it is a powerful form of creativity, storytelling, and self-expression.
We believe every child is creative. With the right guidance and encouragement, creativity grows into confidence, curiosity, and the ability to think independently. Rather than teaching students what to create, we inspire them to explore their own ideas, experiment freely, and develop their unique creative voice.
Fashion design begins with imagination. Every collection starts with an idea that evolves through research, illustration, colour, and visual storytelling. By introducing students to this professional design process, we help them build creative thinking and practical skills that extend beyond fashion and into everyday life.
Above all, we celebrate progress over perfection, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to explore, learn, and express themselves without fear of making mistakes.

We encourage students to observe the world around them, explore different influences, and transform inspiration into original ideas through sketching, mood boards, colour exploration, and visual storytelling.
Confidence
Good design combines creativity with purpose.
Students learn the professional design process used within the fashion industry, including fashion illustration, concept development, collection planning, branding, and presentation techniques. They discover how designers transform ideas into cohesive collections with intention and meaning.
Individuality
Every designer has a unique story to tell.
We encourage students to develop confidence in their own creative voice and recognise that originality comes from embracing who they are. Through fashion, students learn to communicate ideas, emotions, and identity while building confidence that extends beyond design itself.
For Anastasia Cairns, fashion has always been about more than clothing. It is a way to tell stories, celebrate culture, and give people the confidence to express who they are.
This belief inspired the creation of a.nty story, an Australian fashion label where every hand-illustrated print carries meaning and every collection is designed to celebrate identity, heritage, and the stories of inspiring women. Through slow fashion, Anastasia hopes to create garments that are treasured for years, not seasons.
As a mother and educator, Anastasia also recognised that many young people are naturally creative but rarely have the opportunity to experience the imaginative side of fashion design. She wanted to create a place where students could discover that fashion begins with curiosity, creativity, and storytelling, not just sewing.
That vision became Seni Moda.
Seni Moda was founded to nurture the next generation of creative thinkers by introducing young people to the professional fashion design process through illustration, colour, concept development, branding, and visual storytelling. More than teaching students how to draw, Anastasia hopes to inspire them to think independently, explore their ideas with confidence, and discover the joy of creating something uniquely their own.
Together, a.nty story and Seni Moda share the same purpose: to empower people through creativity, encourage self-expression, and demonstrate that fashion can be a powerful form of art, storytelling, and human connection.
